Ben Neill

The Demo is a new music/theater work by composers Mikel Rouse and Ben Neill which re-imagines Douglas Engelbart’s legendary 1968 demo as a technologically infused performance. The piece is being realized in collaboration with EDream/National Center for Supercomputing Applications and the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, both at the University of Illinois Champaign/Urbana.

Night Science (2009, Thirsty Ear Recordings) combines dubstep beats and basslines with the otherworldly sonic explorations of his self-invented instrument, the mutantrumpet.
